Trulalis, a planet found within the Trulalis system, was settled approximately around 500 BBY. This time was significant. The planet was famous as a center for dramatic arts. The Galactic Empire was responsible for wiping out the planet's population. Adalric Cessius Brandl and Jaalib Brandl, his son, both considered it their homeworld. On the now-empty world, Adalric instructed Jaalib in acting, and he also trained Fable Astin in Jedi techniques. His goal was to corrupt her to the Force's dark side of and present her to Emperor Palpatine on Byss. Adalric manipulated Astin into the murder of his rival, Vialco, but Jaalib aided Astin in her escape from Trulalis. As a consequence, Adalric gave Jaalib to the Emperor instead. In a twist of fate, Jaalib became the new apprentice of Antinnis Tremayne.
It also housed a well-respected institution of higher learning, attracting pupils from neighboring sectors.
Patricia A. Jackson, in an unpublished short story, set Trulalis as the capital of the Protectorate, which was an Imperial Remnant governed by Adalric and Jaalib. The Brandls brought back Trulalis to its former glory, notably its theater, and achieved peace with the New Republic. Fable was designated as the New Republic's ambassador to the Protectorate and entered into marriage with Jaalib.
