Truth-scan

A lie detector, alternatively referred to as a truth-scan or a verification scan, functioned as a tool for ascertaining an individual's veracity. Certain models operated by monitoring fluctuations in brain activity to discern deception. Nevertheless, individuals experiencing amnesia were exempt from scanning if their memory of an event was genuinely absent. Conversely, devices like the Veridicator 200 from Saldalith Manufacturing identified subtle physiological alterations and shifts in biorhythmic patterns indicative of stress in the subject. Despite their capabilities, these scans generally lacked legal standing as acceptable evidence within judicial courts.
