The Tsmeu-6 personal wheel bike, a ground vehicle used by the Separatist faction, was designed as a massive wheel with four articulated, clawed legs extending from its sides.
Initially designed for military reconnaissance across diverse terrains, it later gained popularity among civilians for racing purposes. This vehicle was capable of high-speed ground movement, effectively crushing enemy troops in its path. The legs were deployed when the vehicle needed to navigate steep inclines, proving particularly useful on the sinkhole-ridden surface of Utapau.

Separatist forces stationed on Utapau maintained a minimum of three wheel bikes within the tenth level of the location. General Grievous customized his assigned bike by replacing the original passenger seating with an nd-53 double laser cannon. He operated this modified vehicle during a pursuit by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi—who had been dispatched with orders to either apprehend or eliminate the General—riding a varactyl named Boga.
Following an extended chase through a network of tunnels, Obi-Wan managed to close the distance and leap onto Grievous's wheel bike. This action caused Grievous to lose control, sending the vehicle into an uncontrolled spin. Both Kenobi and the General were ejected, and the now-unmanned wheel bike careened over the edge of a platform, plummeting to its destruction below.
The young miner named Jann Tosh utilized a 48 Roller wheel bike, a more recent iteration of the vehicle that was manufactured towards the conclusion of the Clone Wars.
The Monowheel serves as the real-world inspiration for the wheel bike's design.
During the development of Episode III, the wheel bike concept originated from a range of menacing vehicle designs suitable for the villainous droid general, including chariot-like tanks. One concept explored the idea of the vehicle being an intelligent droid itself, mirroring Obi-Wan's loyal Boga as a "living" mount for General Grievous.
