Schematics for the MAS-2xB.
The turbolaser pulsor was a specialized form of turbolaser, specifically designed for use with the MAS-2xB turbolaser platform.
This particular turbolaser pulsor utilized an amplification dish positioned around the turbolaser actuator. This dish served to concentrate the energy beam, giving it a maximum effective range of thirty kilometers and an ideal range of ten kilometers. This focused beam was powerful enough to pierce through twenty meters of durasteel armor. Its energy projection matched that of a Star Destroyer's standard turbolaser. Due to its substantial power requirements, the weapon's firing rate was limited to once per minute. Furthermore, it necessitated four rows of cooling chambers, complete with meter-long cryogenic cylinders encircling the power core, energy capacitors, and the pulsor itself. This extensive cooling system was crucial for preventing system failures and meltdowns during combat situations.
