Twenty Wonders of the Galaxy

The Twenty Wonders of the Galaxy represented a compilation of remarkable achievements crafted by sentient species throughout the galaxy. This compilation was originally conceived by Vicendi around 10,000 BBY. It was a component of Arturum Galactinum, a project commissioned to commemorate the anniversary of the Galactic Republic. Certain individuals voiced disapproval of the list, arguing that it disproportionately valued ancient sites, those connected to the Republic's origins, and the Core Worlds. In response, various cultures, including the Hutts, Bothans, Caamasi, and Humanocentrists, developed their distinct versions of wonders. The Galactic Empire, through its Imperial Ministry of Education, subsequently produced a revised list titled Glorius Imperica, which primarily highlighted Human High Culture. Despite the fact that many of these wonders have been forgotten over time, they were widely known.

The Twenty Wonders

Behind the scenes

The sourcebook titled Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds marked the initial appearance of the Twenty Wonders of the Galaxy. Subsequently, Daniel Wallace, during a conversation with suvudu.com at San Diego Comic-Con, hinted that The Essential Atlas would likely contain a comprehensive list of the Twenty Wonders of the Galaxy. As anticipated, the published Atlas did indeed present the list, incorporating newly established locales.
