Tyionsis Cex, a Srrors'tok from the planet Sellasas, was employed as a bounty hunter by the Galactic Empire. He operated during the peak of the Galactic Civil War.
Cex, a native of Sellasas, experienced the complete annihilation of his family during a seven-week siege. This siege was conducted by a Rebel assault team aiming to eliminate all Imperial forces on the planet. Prior to this event, Cex and his merchant family had no interest in political matters. However, the deaths of his family spurred the Srrors'tok to take up arms against the Rebels. As the last surviving male of his lineage, Cex fought alongside the Imperials during the Rebels' final attack on the army garrison, sustaining serious injuries. He would have perished if not for the kindness of Commander Amara Jedselk, the garrison's second-in-command and daughter of the planetary governor. Despite her own multiple wounds, she saved Cex's life, and together they avoided capture for several days. The Rebel strike force withdrew from the planet within a week after their final assault on the garrison. Three days later, a navy relief force, led by Admiral Kedler, arrived.
During their recovery, Amara "adopted" the Srrors'tok, giving him his name. Cex developed a deep affection for Amara as he healed. It was at this time that Cex met Amara's father, who had recently been promoted to governor of the Dolla system. Cex expressed that he owed Amara a life debt and felt obligated to repay it. Although Amara was eventually reassigned, Governor Jedselk saw an opportunity. He exploited Cex's affection for his daughter, the life debt he owed, and the Srror'tok's hatred for the Rebels. Governor Jedselk offered his support in exchange for Cex's service as an Imperial bounty hunter. Cex eagerly accepted, viewing each capture as both a personal satisfaction and a way to repay his immense debt. As governor of Dolla, Jedselk used his influence to quell any local disturbances caused by Cex's bounty hunting activities. Jedselk considered the bounty hunter a valuable asset and would have sent an armed rescue force to his aid if necessary, despite the humiliation such a rescue would cause Cex. In his first two years as a bounty hunter, Cex successfully captured eighty-three individuals, with seventy-five of them being brought in alive.
Cex was a proud Srror'tok warrior who found pleasure in hunting down enemies of the Empire, driven by a desire to avenge his family's deaths. He was easily offended and often responded to insults with lethal force. In addition to his tracking abilities, Cex also developed the skill of throwing his voice, which he frequently used to deceive opponents into believing there were multiple Srror'toks nearby.
