The Tyranny, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, had its home base at Fresia.
Raymus Antilles, a Captain, along with four Corellian Corvettes, tricked the ship into leaving Fresia and heading to Kuat Drive Yards during the First Battle of Kuat, using an emergency code. At this point, the ship was under the command of Lord Vader, who had positioned it over Fresia to stop Rebel forces from landing, suspecting a plot to steal X-wing starfighter prototypes given the impending Incom "nationalization" event. The Tyranny's commanding officer labeled its mission as an "Imperial Security Assignment." Prior to its departure from Fresia, responding to the distress beacon from Kuat Drive Yards, it launched sensor drones and locked down Fresia, aiming to prevent any Rebel incursion. The Tyranny sustained damage, specifically the destruction of two turbolaser batteries and the tractor beam emitter by Antilles and his team before their withdrawal, and was compelled to stay at Kuat Drive Yards for necessary maintenance.
