The Moff who oversaw that region dispatched vessels to break up the gatherings, but the protesters stood their ground and wouldn't leave. Consequently, the imperial force's commanding officer gave the order for the ships to position themselves above the throng and activate their engines, resulting in the peaceful protesters being burned alive in a burst of flames. The relatives of Tedris Bjalin were included among those who perished. This event occurred following a similar slaughter on Mantooine that happened a fortnight prior.
