The Unending Conflict represents a tremendously destructive era within the history of Melitto on the planet of Li-Toran. It involved multiple Melitto hives and stretched across numerous centuries. Because Li-Toran was overdeveloped, there was insufficient space for new hives to form, leading to competition between myrmitrices for the same subterranean passages and cave systems. Before any single battle could reach its conclusion, new myrmitrices would introduce additional soldier-myrmites, thereby extending the duration of the conflict.
The confrontations intensified until the intensity of the underground warfare led to the failure of entire networks of tunnels and caverns. To avert further devastation and a calamitous event, the most substantial hives came together to establish a planetary council. Their goal was to terminate the ongoing battles and to strive to prevent future wars of this nature.
