A male of the Balnab species, as found in legends of the planet Balnab, existed during the era known as the Clone Wars.
During the Battle of Patitite Pattuna, protocol droid C-3PO and astromech droid R2-D2 arrived on Balnab, where this Balnab resided. While hunting Hesten on Tee-muss with two companions, this Balnab encountered and captured the two droids. Lacking knowledge of the droids' nature, the Balnabs opted to present them to their chief, Albee Dewaw, who later executed this Balnab for his audacity in bringing the droids into the village.
