An officer served as the commander of the Mandible a starship belonging to the Galactic Empire throughout the Imperial Era. Around 3 ABY, while impaired by alcohol, he transported hazardous materials, which resulted in a mishap that killed a significant number of the ship's personnel. Everi Chalis, a representative to the Imperial Ruling Council, penalized the Mandible's crew amidst the Belnar Insurrections and executed those found accountable for the incident, inclusive of the commander.
Later, in 3 ABY, Chalis, having since defected and joined the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry, referenced the consequences faced by the Mandible's crew as a means of coercing an Imperial heavy freighter to alter its trajectory. Furthermore, Chalis shared the narrative of the Mandible and the incident caused by its intoxicated commander with Hazram Namir, a First Sergeant within the company.
This commander was referenced within the 2015 book Battlefront: Twilight Company, authored by Alexander Freed.
