A non-military transport ship became the target of an assault perpetrated by a Wroonian privateer group in the era of the Galactic Civil War. In the course of this attack, the ship was obliterated by the privateers in order to prevent the transmission of a mayday. Subsequently, Dasha Defano, a Wroonian among the privateers, learned that one of her closest companions was on that transport during the incident, and had perished. The guilt Defano felt regarding her involvement in this event motivated her departure from the privateer band and her subsequent enlistment in the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
