A particular mammalian species, lacking sentience, made its home on the southern polar continent of Eshkrene, which is part of the planet Kesh. These creatures possessed a dense coat of grey fur, distinguished by black stripes. They walked on four legs and had a notably large, bushy tail. Further defining characteristics included two pairs of eyes, ears, a black-colored nose, and a collection of black whiskers. A group from an Alanciari exploration party, which made the discovery of Eshkrene in 2974 BBY, observed a member of this species. The Lost Tribe of Sith dispatched this same exploration party as part of a broader sea-based program aimed at exploring and then dominating the remainder of Kesh.
