Unidentified Ewok (hang glider) 2

An Ewok piloted a hang glider during the Battle of Endor. Despite the Ewok's success in dislodging rocks onto an AT-ST, the assault proved to be ineffective against the Imperial walker.

Behind the scenes

The official webpage for the 2015 Celebration Anaheim event revealed that Felix Silla, an actor and stunt performer, portrayed this Ewok in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. This information regarding the casting was reaffirmed in April 2021 through a Lucasfilm Instagram announcement, which honored Silla following his death earlier that week.

Back in 2007, Silla was initially recognized as the performer behind a darker-furred Ewok within the very same scene; this Ewok's glider is downed by a stray shot from a stormtrooper's blaster. Silla himself mentioned on his personal webpage that the hang-gliding Ewok he embodied was originally intended to be named "Retah." Nevertheless, neither of the two Ewoks employing hang gliders has ever been formally recognized by the name Retah within any canon material. The present iteration of Silla's webpage now mistakenly attributes the role of Wunka to the hang-gliding Ewok portrayed by him.
