This elite Mandalorian super commando served within Death Watch during the era of the Clone Wars, and subsequently became an ally of Darth Maul and his Shadow Collective.
Darth Maul, after assembling a criminal organization that included the Black Sun, the Pyke Syndicate, and the Hutt Cartel, launched an attack on Sundari. This was a calculated move to allow Death Watch to intervene and seize control of the planet. Following a betrayal, Maul was imprisoned in Sundari prison, but he managed to escape and return to Sundari Royal Palace alongside his brother, Savage Opress, and the former Mandalorian Prime Minister Almec. Maul then killed Pre Vizsla, who was the leader of Death Watch at the time, thereby assuming leadership of the group. This particular Mandalorian was among those who pledged allegiance to Maul following Vizsla's demise.
Subsequently, this commando modified his armor, incorporating a red color scheme as a tribute to the new leader of Death Watch. This Mandalorian super commando was on duty at the docking bays when Obi-Wan Kenobi arrived with the intention of rescuing Duchess Satine Kryze. Kenobi, disguised as Rako Hardeen, arrived aboard the Twilight. Initially, the Mandalorian inquired whether Kenobi wanted the ship inspected due to its dilapidated condition. Kenobi declined, prompting the Mandalorian to request his landing permit. Kenobi claimed to have left it inside the ship and invited the Mandalorian to retrieve it. Once inside, Kenobi incapacitated the Mandalorian and took his armor. Kenobi then used the commando's armor in an attempt to rescue the Duchess. However, Maul and his forces apprehended him, and Maul ultimately executed Satine.
