Unidentified OOM-series security droid corporal
This OOM security battle droid, whose designation remains unknown, was observed on the Saak'ak in the moments leading up to the Naboo Invasion. This droid possessed the rank of corporal. Subsequent to Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi's survival of an assassination attempt utilizing dioxis gas, it met its end, along with its commanding officer, OWO-1.
Biography
Baktoid Combat Automata manufactured the OOM security battle droid at some point before the Battle of Naboo. Following its creation, it began service for the Trade Federation. During the Blockade of Naboo, this particular droid was assigned to the Command ship Saak'ak, where it functioned as a member of an eight-droid unit. This unit was under the command of the OOM commander battle droid OWO-1, who in turn answered to Viceroy Nute Gunray. Along with his squad, he was assigned the task of confirming whether or not the Dioxis gas had eliminated the two Jedi within the conference chamber. Following this, OWO-1 instructed him to be the first to enter and investigate, with the promise of covering fire if necessary: if the Jedi were still alive, they were to be immediately shot. However, before he could enter, he and the other soldiers witnessed the Jedi activating their lightsabers. His mission was unsuccessful, and he was destroyed alongside his entire squad.
