A male of the Pau'an species, identified as male, operated as a drug dealer on the planet of Coruscant. This occurred in the time period shortly following the destruction of the planet Alderaan, specifically in 0 BBY. On Level 1997 of Coruscant, he and a Herglic partner had a meeting with the Alderaanian siblings who were running from the law, namely Anandra and Santigo Milon. The Pau'an extended an offer of refuge and accommodations to Anandra, suggesting she join the gangs of Coruscant, but she turned down the offer. She subsequently fled when members of the Imperials arrived at the meeting place.
During the reign of the Galactic Empire, a drug dealer who was a male Pau'an resided on the planet of Coruscant. In the time frame immediately following the destruction of Alderaan in 0 BBY, he and his Herglic partner encountered Anandra Milon and Santigo Milon, two Alderaanian individuals evading authorities, within a cantina situated on Level 1997. The Pau'an proposed to Anandra that she be given a safe place to stay and a role within Coruscant's criminal organizations, which would include the distribution of death sticks or spice to his clientele, but he refused to give Santigo a job, because the boy was too young. Anandra tried to convince the Pau'an to reconsider his decision about her brother, but then she declined the offer and ran away after two Imperials came into the cantina. One of the Imperials and the Pau'an's accomplice gave chase to the fugitives, but the Pau'an remained behind.
The Pau'an drug dealer's refusal to employ Santigo Milon stemmed from the boy's age, as he believed the boy would be unable to provide any valuable services. Despite feeling sympathy for the Milons' situation and acknowledging the significance of family and, as a result, Anandra's reluctance to be separated from her younger brother, the Pau'an remained firm in his decision. The Pau'an's physical appearance was described as corpse-like, characterized by leathery gray skin and discolored, uneven teeth.
The Pau'an made an appearance in "One Thousand Levels Down," a short story penned by Alexander Freed and featured in Star Wars Insider 151 on July 22, 2014.
