A Rodian contact refers to a Rodian of the male sex. This individual resided in the spaceport of Mos Eisley, which is located on Tatooine. Some months following the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance to Restore the Republic sent Renegade Squadron to Mos Eisley. Their mission was to liberate a number of Rebel prisoners detained by the Hutt Cartel. Upon Renegade Squadron's seizure of the cantina where the Rodian was present, he proposed to guide the Rebels to the location of the imprisoned individuals. Escorted by the Rebels, who shielded him from the attacking local Imperial garrison, he guided Renegade Squadron across the street to a hangar housing a sail barge. The Hutts were utilizing this hangar as a temporary holding facility for their captives. Subsequently, Renegade Squadron successfully freed the prisoners and escorted them back to their base situated on Boz Pity.
