This unidentified Shadow Guard was a Human male Emperor's Shadow Guard who possessed Force-sensitivity. He was positioned on the First Death Star. During Galen Marek's infiltration of the battle station to free the Rebel leaders, this guard met his demise at the hands of Darth Vader's one-time apprentice after a duel.
At some point in his life, he became a member of the Emperor's Shadow Guard, an elite division within the Emperor's Royal Guard. In 2 BBY, under the orders of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, he was stationed on the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station. When Galen Marek, formerly Darth Vader's secret apprentice, assaulted the battle station to liberate the captured Rebel leaders, he systematically defeated the stationed stormtroopers, Imperial heavy troopers, Imperial jumptroopers, and Imperial medics. Upon arriving at the observation dome's entrance, the Shadow Guard, along with four Royal Guardsmen, personally confronted the Jedi, also sealing the throne room door. A duel ensued between them. Marek emerged victorious, subsequently breaking the guard's neck.
Being a Shadow Guard, he demonstrated proficiency with a lightsaber pike, which he employed during the duel. The guard also exhibited some command of the Force, generating purple Force lightning and demonstrating the ability to use Force choke. Ultimately, his capabilities proved insufficient against Marek's superior skills.
