Unidentified spongy growth

A peculiar form of porous vegetation was observed on the world Zebitrope IV. This vegetation maintained a mutually beneficial association with a specific variety of lizard native to the same world. These porous growths provided both sustenance and a place to hide for the reptilian creatures.
