Unidentified stormtrooper (Apocalypse Endor)

A stormtrooper functioned as the leader of a platoon deployed to the forest moon known as Endor. Many years following this assignment, he recounted his experiences on Endor while in a drinking establishment.

Biography

Imperial service

Prior to the year 4 ABY, this particular stormtrooper, in his capacity as platoon leader, received orders assigning him to Endor. This deployment occurred while the Empire was in the process of constructing the massive Death Star II in the moon's orbit. He and his platoon were tasked with establishing contact with the indigenous Ewoks. An incident occurred when an Ewok placed a flower within the barrel of a trooper's blaster, leading the platoon leader to incorrectly interpret this action as an attempt by the Ewoks to disable their weapons, resulting in his order for the troops to commence firing. Following this event, the Ewoks initiated nocturnal attacks against the Imperial forces. The stormtrooper, along with his fellow soldiers, developed a fear of the Ewoks due to their use of guerilla warfare tactics that resulted in the deaths of Imperials, including his squad member Kovacs, and their unsettling habit of drumming outside their sleeping quarters during the night.

The stormtrooper felt a sense of relief at finally engaging the Rebel Alliance in combat during the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY. During the conflict, he and his platoon were assigned to defend a specific clearing. However, Ewoks positioned in the trees above began dropping large rocks upon the Imperial soldiers. Two of the troopers inadvertently fell into a pitfall trap and suffered impalement by spikes located at the bottom. As the Ewoks began launching arrows at them, the platoon leader issued an order for his troops to withdraw. By the battle's conclusion, he welcomed being taken as a prisoner by the Alliance strike team, as it provided an escape from the Ewoks.

Post-battle

In time, he gained his freedom from captivity and made his way to an unnamed cantina. There, he shared his story with other patrons. His sole source of comfort regarding the Battle of Endor stemmed from the belief that the destruction of the Death Star II must have resulted in a deadly rain of debris falling upon the Ewoks, but another bar patron informed him that this was simply a fabrication.
