Unidentified winged creature
A flying beast displaying features similar to reptiles possessed a lengthy neck, a horned head, and crimson wings. Two instances of these creatures were present within the subterranean caves beneath Jabba's Palace located on Tatooine.
Behind the scenes

A photograph frequently misidentified as depicting the rancor from Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi in combat with a krayt dragon was, in actuality, a prank orchestrated by the ILM crew. They positioned a model of one of the dragons from the movie Dragonslayer within the grasp of the rancor model and captured an image. This image was then incorporated into the book Star Wars: Chronicles.
Creatures drawing inspiration from this dragon were featured in Richard Chasemore's artwork depicting Jabba's Palace for Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy, reflecting what Chasemore referred to as a "deleted scene."
