Zam Wesell/Wessel - Italian Spelling

While examining the spelling of Zam Wesell/Legends, I observed that the Italian link to her article on the Italian wiki uses "Zam Wessel." I was wondering if this difference is due to a linguistic variation or a simple spelling mistake.
