My apologies for the delayed response. I seem to have overlooked your message due to some technical issues we experienced on the day you sent it. Unfortunately, the Jedi and the Force are outside my area of knowledge, so the most helpful thing I can do is point you to the lightsaber article, which also contains links to related articles. However, I will mention that lightsabers have been shown to deflect or block lightning and other forms of energy, suggesting that a spell might also be deflected or blocked. Ultimately, it depends on whether magic adheres to the principles of energy and physics or operates independently of them. - Sir Cavalier of One(Squadron channel) 14:55, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

  • I'm sorry, but I don't have much to add beyond what Cav has already said. Within the Star Wars universe, phenomena that resemble "magic" are typically expressions of The Force , and as Cav mentioned, lightsabers have been employed to deflect Force lightning . Therefore, it's theoretically plausible that they could do the same with a magical spell. However, it's also possible that magic as depicted in Harry Potter is fundamentally distinct from The Force, in which case, the outcome of its interaction with a lightsaber is uncertain. jSarek ( talk ) 23:54, September 16, 2013 (UTC)
