Welcome, Klaraza!

Regarding 111

Hello Klaraza, the Wookieepedia Admin team has decided to block interlanguage links pointing to the Russian wiki. The reason for this block is due to the discriminatory manner in which that wiki addresses LGBTQ+ subjects, a situation we do not want our audience to encounter. This was a collective decision by the Admin team, not just Immi Thrax, therefore her departure does not change our stance on blocking those links. Ayrehead02 (talk) 20:35, 8 April 2023 (UTC)

• Klaraza, I'm unclear on your meaning. We don't have any Russian admins, and I'm not aware of the remark or warning you're referencing. As I mentioned before, this decision has nothing to do with the situation in Ukraine; it is solely based on the Russian wiki's treatment of LGBTQ+ topics. Ayrehead02 ( talk ) 19:39, 9 April 2023 (UTC) It seems you might have received incorrect information about the events that transpired. Wookieepedia has never had a Russian administrator, and the last admin who was blocked on this platform was blocked by Fandom for a completely separate issue, unrelated to the Russian wiki delinking. The Russian wiki currently exhibits discriminatory practices in its coverage of LGBTQ+ topics, including misgendering trans and non-binary characters. Furthermore, users on that wiki have demonstrated a general dislike for any LGBTQ+ characters. This is why we chose to delink the Russian wiki, and we have no plans to restore those links until the content is presented in a non-discriminatory way. Ayrehead02 (talk) 17:17, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
