That guy
Now that we've dispensed with the formalities, I suggest you consult Brandon Rhea, who is our community manager at Wikia. He is likely to possess the answers you seek. On a more personal note, I commend your efforts in maintaining a civil atmosphere within the Discussion forum. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 20:52, April 5, 2016 (UTC) - As it turns out, one of our administrators noticed the message you posted on my discussion page and permanently banned the individual in question, also preventing them from creating any new accounts. - AV-6R7 Crew Pit 20:55, April 5, 2016 (UTC)
I'm unsure if you'll see this here, or if I should have posted on your discussion page... I'm feeling lost at the moment. The situation has once again escalated. I'm providing links to several threads for your review. Please examine them thoroughly and take note of the timestamps. Personally, I don't believe these threads require deletion, nor should they be deleted. It's quite apparent that a significant amount of misinformation is being circulated. Ultimately, my hope is that everyone can review the history of these discussions. Do you believe I should have approached this differently? I'm open to any feedback or suggestions you may have. Should an administrator intervene with a statement to quell this ongoing dispute? I'm reaching out to you specifically because you seem to be the only one who has been active in those forums recently. I'm uncertain whether to escalate this to the Administrators' noticeboard or not. I'm also unsure if this warrants bringing it to Brandon Rhea's attention. I've only contacted him in the past to address extreme cases of trolling. I'm simply unsure if this situation requires that level of intervention. Like many others, I've been utilizing the 'report' function within the app. If that's the only appropriate action in this instance, I apologize for contacting you directly. Anyway, here are the relevant links...

Once again, I appreciate your assistance. --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 10:33, April 12, 2016 (UTC) - Hopefully, a moderator will remove these posts as spam (since they are unrelated to Star Wars and primarily target a specific user). However, it appears the argument has diminished in the third and fourth discussions, while the first and second have simply become inactive and will soon be archived. For the time being, I suggest refraining from taking any action unless similar posts resurface (which is likely). In that case, report them to an administrator, as this will strengthen your case when presented with the aforementioned evidence. - AV-6R7 Crew Pit 13:36, April 12, 2016 (UTC)
Hello. I sent an email to the address associated with your Wikia account concerning the Star Wars Discussions forum. Did you receive it? - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:14, May 1, 2016 (UTC)
If you're referring to the email where you suggested I post on the Admin Boards, then yes, I did receive it. And that's precisely what I did today regarding the three users I mentioned on the Admin Boards. Am I missing something here? Should I have handled this differently? --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 22:27, May 1, 2016 (UTC)
- Hi. My apologies, I didn't see your reply. In the email, I was inquiring if you were interested in becoming a moderator. This would grant you moderator privileges within the board, including the ability to remove threads and approve or reject threads and posts that have been flagged for moderation. However, you would not have the authority to block users—that's where posting on the forum comes in. You can either post there or leave me a message on my talk page, indicating when someone needs to be banned. So, what do you think? Are you interested? - Brandon Rhea (talk) 18:21, May 2, 2016 (UTC)
Absolutely, Brandon. Is there a document outlining the rules and expectations for moderation by a non-administrator? I would prefer my actions to be guided by an 'official' set of guidelines. If my actions are perceived as fair or unfair, I believe it would benefit everyone if users had documentation to reference. Also, I access the discussion forums through both a website browser and my Android cellphone (which has the December client, as I prefer a dark theme for late-night reading). I occasionally have access to my partner's iPad with the latest client. Would I need to use a specific client to become a mod? Lastly, thank you. I genuinely appreciate the added responsibility. I'm eager to help in any way I can. --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 19:43, May 2, 2016 (UTC)
Posted thread
Hello. First, I'd like to congratulate you on becoming a moderator! Second, I wanted to inform you that I've started a thread in the general discussion, ultimately directing users to your and Brandon Rhea's talk pages. Here's the link if you'd like to take a look: http://starwars.wikia.com/d/p/2738362582363539240 If this isn't the correct approach, please let me know. I won't be offended if the thread needs to be deleted. I know there's an admin page that wiki users can access, but I didn't think that page needed to be filled with complaints that could be addressed elsewhere. DarthJaxon (talk) 10:47, May 6, 2016 (UTC)
- DarthJaxon, first of all, thank you. I saw the post and appreciate it. After what happened last night, I was planning to create a similar thread today. People should also feel free to utilize the built-in email complaint system within the app. From what I understand, those reports go directly to Brandon and/or the Admins. The 'Ask a Mod a Question' thread that I created (which is also linked in my profile/bio) is also a good way to communicate and ask questions directly to me. I appreciate your caution, but please don't feel the need to be so formal with me. I'm generally easy to get along with. If someone makes a mistake but clearly has good intentions, I'll always try to point out the error while acknowledging their good intentions. Since I'm not a frequent contributor, I don't spend as much time on the wiki itself (like this talk page) as I do on the discussion forums. As a non-admin mod, that's the most efficient way to contact me. The admin board is accessible to everyone, but I don't believe people would use it appropriately if you had linked it. So, thank you for not doing that. Those who want to familiarize themselves with Wikia and Wookieepedia should learn about its strict rules and regulations. Heck, I'm still learning the intricacies myself. I believe that the 'report' and built-in email features of the app should resolve most issues. And the 'Ask a Mod' thread should further assist in that regard. But if people want to go beyond that, feel free to direct them to Wookieepedia on a browser. --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 15:38, May 6, 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for your response. I appreciate the insight. I simply thought contacting you here would be easier than using your 'ask a mod thread.' I also assumed you didn't want me sharing the admin page with everyone, which I hope is understandable. The general wiki population doesn't really have much reason to use that part of the forum; it should only be used in specific situations. If I need to contact you further, I'll do so in the 'ask a mod thread.' Thank you for your time! -DarthJaxon (talk) 18:44, May 6, 2016 (UTC)
RE: Discussion Forum series on how to be an Wookiepedia Editor
That appears to be our shared objective here, wouldn't you agree? It aligns with the wishes of the admins, my own desires, and, presumably, your aspirations as well. It presents a valuable concept; Captain Britain made an edit earlier today, and while it exhibited some imperfections, it represented a positive step forward. I wholeheartedly endorse this idea and advise you to consult with our administrator regarding it; they are among our most seasoned editors and might even choose to participate directly. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 02:00, August 24, 2016 (UTC)

Am I correct in assuming that someone will email me the details of the plans and how I'm involved? --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 20:53, September 1, 2016 (UTC)
I've sent you a test email; this will be our primary mode of communication. I will contact you with our current plans soon. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 20:58, September 1, 2016 (UTC)
I've received your email and have set up filters to ensure I don't miss it. I also have some exciting news... just waiting on Brandon now ;) --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 22:24, September 1, 2016 (UTC)

Wookieepedian of the Month
Hey Christopher. I wanted to inform you that I've nominated you for Wookieepedian of the Month. You can view the nomination here. (I might also suggest creating a user page now. =P) Best of luck! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 15:11, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
- Wow! I'm speechless. Thank you so much! -- ChristopherLeeGallant ( talk ) 18:46, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
No problem! Also, I've proposed here that AV-6R7 become the newest Discussions moderator. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 19:02, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
I'm very excited about his promotion! --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 19:40, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
RE: I need help
I'd recommend starting by pasting Template:User infobox onto your page and then filling in the fields. I created my page through experimentation, so it might be helpful to examine the code of my page and start experimenting yourself. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 19:43, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'll get to that later when I have time to focus on it. Brandon announced your promotion. You should go take a bow ;) -- ChristopherLeeGallant ( talk ) 19:45, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
I prefer to remain behind the scenes; besides, it's unwise to celebrate prematurely. ;) - AV-6R7Crew Pit 19:58, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
I've started a basic user page. I'm still familiarizing myself with the code. I'll add more personal information when I have more time. Speaking of code, is there a page that lists all the relevant code?--ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 01:51, September 4, 2016 (UTC)
When you go to edit (assuming you're not using the visual editor), do you see buttons at the top like "B" (bold), "I" (italics), etc.? If you click on "More +", it opens a box with some code. Also, clicking on one of them, such as "B (bold)", will display the code along with example text. ProfessorTofty (talk) 02:05, September 4, 2016 (UTC)
I don't see a 'More +' button. I'm using monobook and have even changed my preferences to all three editor options (Wikia's new VisualEditor, Wikia's classic rich-text editor (where available), and Source Editor). None of the options seem to provide different editing tools. --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 07:27, September 5, 2016 (UTC)
Would you like assistance cleaning up the links on your User Page? - AV-6R7Crew Pit 19:57, September 5, 2016 (UTC)
Yes and no. I learn better by 'doing'. After a few days of working on this, it's clear that the coding is similar to BB Code, which I'm very familiar with. If there's a cheat sheet of all the code and its functions, that would be most helpful (I don't need a long tutorial, just a simple cheat sheet). I dislike using push-button coding; I prefer to type everything out manually. --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 20:16, September 5, 2016 (UTC)
Deleted my Post
Hello! My latest post discussed the possibility of the Rebels from Rogue One being the Knights of Ren. I don't understand why it was deleted, as I don't see any problem with it. CosmicChronos loves ABBA | Sweden, the land of Meatballs 18:27, December 24, 2016 (UTC)
I'm writing to inquire about my post and ask why it was deleted. It was in the top discussions, but it disappeared after I refreshed the page. I've reviewed the policies and don't believe I violated any of them. I'm just curious, that's all. The "Ask a mod a question" page isn't working... or is the link just not working for me? Immortal Emperor (talk) 00:19, April 4, 2017 (UTC)
can you help me ?
I'm trying to add 'objective' sources for the Darth Maul page: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Maul I noticed that Obi-Wan's quote stating that Maul is insignificant is the first quote on the Darth Maul Wikia page, which is ironic considering that Darth Maul is the only character being discredited in his initial quote on this Wikia... and then this person undid all the powers and abilities section without providing any reasons or edits. This individual clearly dislikes Maul and is trying to make fun of him: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Contributions/AnilSerifoglu I'm simply trying to improve the page by adding proper sources and information. Here's what Anil did: - Added Obi-Wan's quote as the first quote on the Darth Maul page. I mean, would you want to see Maul saying 'a rat in the desert' as Obi-Wan's first quote on his page? It would be ridiculous and absurd... - Deleted the powers and abilities section and added only negative information about Maul, which doesn't improve the page at all... This Anil guy clearly hates Maul and hasn't provided any valid reasons or edits to justify his actions. --Marco1001 (talk) 06:32, April 7, 2017 (UTC)
- I've already explained my reasons for reverting your edit. If you want to change the quote, which several users, including myself, found to be better, you should start a discussion on the talk page. Also, your "powers and abilities" edit included unsourced lightsaber forms information. You need to provide a source for the names of the stances you mentioned (besides "Twin Suns"). I won't continue to revert your edit to avoid an edit war and will let others decide. As you're new to Wookieepedia, I'm happy to assist you if you have any questions or encounter any problems. I also ask that you refrain from insulting me on my talk page again (especially in Turkish, so non-Turkish users can't understand). AnilSerifoglu ( talk ) 06:59, April 7, 2017 (UTC)
Also, deleting those swear words doesn't remove them from the page history. AnilSerifoglu (talk) 07:29, April 7, 2017 (UTC)

Hey, this is Nuka-Jam. I'm new to this Wikia but active on several others. About 10 minutes ago, I posted something that followed all the guidelines. It wasn't a versus, spam, or trolling post; it was simply a lore question. For some reason, a moderator deleted it. It's not a big deal, but could I get some information so I don't make the same 'mistake'? Nuka Jam (talk) 02:45, April 22, 2017 (UTC)Nuka-Jam
Hello, Okay, let's start over. I'm Nuka Jam. I've been a Star Wars fan since I saw "A New Hope" when I was 5. I'm very interested in the lore and story of Star Wars. I understand that you're a well-respected moderator, and I appreciate your contributions to the wiki. I'm here to ask why you keep deleting my posts. I mean, come on. Just because I'm new to your wiki doesn't mean my ideas and opinions don't matter. The least you could do is help me understand why you delete my posts, as they all follow the discussion guidelines. However, one of my posts was a wiki guidelines question, which I now understand shouldn't have been posted there. Based on other people's questions, you seem to do this a lot on this wiki. Nuka Jam (talk) 21:50, May 21, 2017 (UTC)Nuka Jam
This is from Jeremiah Barclay. Why do my discussion posts keep getting deleted? I don't believe I've said anything offensive; I've only talked about Star Wars topics, but for some reason, they keep getting deleted. I don't know if you're doing this or someone else, but it's very annoying as I haven't done anything wrong. Please help, as I don't know what's happening. Thanks, Jeremiah Barclay - As stated multiple times, I will NOT respond to questions or concerns regarding moderation actions in 'Discussions' on my 'talk page'. Please direct your questions and concerns to the appropriate thread, which is called Ask a Mod a Question 2.0. --ChristopherLeeGallant (talk) 04:16, June 1, 2017 (UTC)
Christopher, it's good to see you. I'm L12345566997, but I've changed my username to Edgar O of Star Wars. Weren't you also on the Battlefront wiki? I changed my username because I... let's just say I ran into trouble with Commander Awesome on the Battlefront wiki, but that's in the past. So, I'm asking if you could help me with the new article I made, Supreme Commander (Empire)? I would be very grateful. Have a nice day.
Hello, the customer support team suggested I contact you directly to discuss a topic I created that you deleted. I was hoping for a discussion of the topic, but it was deleted. Could you please let me know why? I've never posted before, and the front page of the app encourages me to start a discussion right away.

Block
Hello, ChristopherLeeGallant. I'm posting this here, first, for the record, as this will likely become a larger discussion, and people will need to refer to this for context. You recently issued a permanent ban to Elite Star Wars Fan, presumably for misbehavior on Discussions. For the record, due to Wikia's technical limitations, blocks cannot be issued independently on the wiki or Discussions; if someone is blocked on Discussions, they're automatically blocked on the wiki, and vice versa. The issue is, I had a lengthy discussion with Brandon Rhea back in April, and I explained to him, and he agreed, that granting Discussion moderators blocking power on the wiki would require wiki community approval. I don't know what's happened since then, but I haven't had any further discussions with Wikia about this, and I see no evidence that any community discussion or approval took place. This means you don't have the authority to issue Wookieepedia blocks, even if Wikia technically granted you this power. We need to resolve this situation, but in the meantime, I recommend you refrain from issuing any further blocks without community approval, as that would effectively violate the [[Wookieepedia:Site feature policy|Site feature policy]]. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 04:26, September 9, 2017 (UTC)
- Understood. It would probably be best for us to discuss this together, but it's late, so now isn't the right time. Maybe tomorrow. Keep an eye on your talk page. Toprawa and Ralltiir ( talk ) 06:06, September 9, 2017 (UTC)

Could I possibly obtain a valid explanation for this occurrence and guidance on how to rectify this issue? ## RE: Legends to Canon Weedle is correct in asserting that the Clone Wars exists within both canon and Legends continuities; therefore, the article's current state is accurate. Should an individual desire a canon-specific page for this trooper, they are encouraged to be proactive and create [[Unidentified clone trooper (Negotiator)/Canon]]. However, it's crucial to avoid simply copying and pasting the Legends article, as this will lead to its deletion. Bongofett (talk) 05:45, June 11, 2018 (UTC) ## Spam This individual has spammed me on two separate occasions, and I anticipate further occurrences. They have repeatedly written "bing.com." Initially, I perceived it as a jest, but I believe spammers should not be tolerated. I have observed their removal on multiple occasions. Could you please ban them? Here is their account: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/User:FinnAsome Bongofett (talk) 06:38, June 11, 2018 (UTC) ## Why What is the reason for deleting my posts in a discussion without any explanation? Do you harbor animosity towards me? You consistently remove my posts without providing any response. Why is this happening? What actions have I taken to offend you? I express my desire for a civil discussion. Bongofett (talk) 05:56, June 13, 2018 (UTC)
