Image Origins
Greetings RemingtonV, it is requested that you furnish sources for the images you've uploaded, as mandated by our image policy. Failure to do so could result in their removal. Thank you, IFYLOFD (Talk) 05:39, March 2, 2016 (UTC)
Concerning HK-47
Good day! I regret to inform you that I possess no firsthand knowledge regarding the subject you're discussing, as I lack access to the game and have not experienced it myself. Consequently, I will abstain from making any judgments about the content in question. While your interpretation of the game's events may indeed hold merit, I must express that your actions have not aided your cause. As you yourself acknowledged, you violated the 3RR rule. Furthermore, it appears you removed cited information from a Featured Article (again, I am not asserting the correctness of any particular information at this juncture). While I commend your initiative in initiating a discussion on the talk page and seeking attention via the administrators' noticeboard, you persisted in the edit war without awaiting responses.
So, how should we proceed? I have reverted the article to its state prior to the edit war, meaning the content is as you initially found it and believe to be inaccurate. It is also locked to prevent further edit-warring, regardless of the good intentions of either party. My suggestion now is to reach out to those involved in the edit war and invite them to engage in a discussion on the article's talk page, with the aim of reaching a consensus on the article's wording and content. Both sides seem to believe that the other is introducing speculation, so please engage in a dialogue to ensure that all parties fully understand the changes/retentions being proposed. Edit summaries can only convey so much.
It might also be wise to contact other users who specialize in contributing to The Old Republic content for their insights. The game is expansive, and information is often concealed within game files, overlooked, or accessible only to specific character types. I cannot guarantee assistance, but it is worth exploring.
I trust this is helpful. - Sir Cavalier of One(Squadron channel) 23:56, March 5, 2017 (UTC)
Image Upload Procedures
While Wookieepedia appreciates every contribution made in good faith, we kindly request that you consult Wookieepedia:Images, which can be located via the "other policies and guidelines" link within your welcome message. Please familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before proceeding with further image uploads. The only upload method sanctioned by Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to provide this information. Wikia's unconventional upload forms are not supported under Wookieepedia policy, and ignorance of the upload rules is not considered a valid excuse. Persistent violation of the image policy or the provision of false information within an upload description will be regarded as vandalism and may lead to a block. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 11:40, March 22, 2018 (UTC)
- Kindly refer to the talk page of the image under consideration. An unexpected family legal matter arose this morning, causing me to upload the image without its source. I have since rectified this by adding the source. The image originates from the Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide, Chapter V, Pages 78. RemingtonV ( talk ) 12:33, March 22, 2018 (UTC)
Regarding HK-24
The HK-24 article, in its previous form, was already consistent with other droid class articles that have achieved featured status. I used these articles as a model when I initially composed the HK-24 article. I believe that a properly formatted article should adhere to those guidelines, rather than those of other HK class articles. Furthermore, your additions and rearrangements resulted in significant portions of the article becoming unsourced. IFYLOFD (Talk) 20:06, March 23, 2018 (UTC)
- Understood, that makes sense. I suppose the lack of consistency between HK-24 and the other models is what bothers me. -- RemingtonV ( talk ) 03:22, March 24, 2018 (UTC)
