Regarding Nomi Da-Boda
Trazeris, just letting you know that I posted a response on the discussion page for that article. I appreciate you pointing it out to me, and feel free to ask if you have any further inquiries! Darth Trayus (Trayus Academy) 10:30, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
French Wookieepedia
Hello Trazeris! These days, I'm not around as much, but I can check out the other site every now and then and maybe add something. I'm curious, are you from France in Europe? I'm from Canada :) Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith -Just shy, not antisocial: You can talk to me!- 14:46, July 3, 2013 (UTC)
Regarding: Wookieepedia, French Version
Good evening Trazeris! Thank you for your message. To be honest, I am completely aware of the existence of the French version, but I must admit that I have never really managed to invest myself in it for certain technical reasons. How can I put it, it's quite silly... I wrote certain articles here that have acquired a very high level of certification (for example Charal, Sanyassan or Bail Antilles); I undertook to translate "my" masterpieces into French to benefit Wookiepedia, but I realized that I had a lot of trouble translating my own prose. These articles, I thought of them and wrote them in English, and I realize that in order to translate them I practically have to reinvent them. ^^' I assure you, however, that I have not abandoned the project. I will take one of my shorter articles and try to provide an adapted transcription—you have to start somewhere! The other concern that made me somewhat retreat in my attempt to contribute to Wookiepedia is that I collect Star Wars books in English, and as a result I do not know the French name of all these publications, if they even exist! However, I have decided to translate Mazicia Organa tonight, an article of my own that is not very long. We'll see how it goes. Best to you. --LelalMekha (talk) 18:35, July 3, 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. I am well on my way to translating this first article. However, I must admit that there is another little something that is "bothering" me on Wookiepedia: it is the lack of internal cohesion of the articles. Given that some articles are translated from Wookieepedia, others from the English-language Wikipedia, and still others are pure creations of the editors, I do not have the impression that there is a common structure. That said, I may be wrong; correct me if I am wrong! -- LelalMekha ( talk ) 19:35, July 3, 2013 (UTC) Oh but I'm not blaming you for that, neither you nor the others. I know that Rome wasn't built in a day! ;-) But do you have a rule regarding the structure, or does it remain to be determined by consensus? (In the articles that I translate, I will simply follow the model that I am used to). --LelalMekha (talk) 20:27, July 3, 2013 (UTC) Let's just say that the structure used here at least has the merit of having proven itself. :-) I have finished the main work on the French article of Mazicia, it remains now to illustrate and correct the typos that I inevitably left. --LelalMekha (talk) 20:56, July 3, 2013 (UTC)
