v-
The v- represented a measure of energy, employed to define the quantity of energy that could be provided within a single artillery weapon's tube charge. Its foundation was the energy level needed to stimulate a rod of standard-purity vacierite, measuring 400 cm by 8.5 cm, to the threshold where a double-packed particle emission, consisting of 10 g2-ions in a unified beam, would occur.
Initially, Republic Sienar Systems, which preceded Sienar Fleet Systems, created this energy unit. Subsequently, the Imperial Service adopted it, among other units, for the purpose of classifying and grading artillery weaponry.
