Vagar Praxut

Vagar Praxut, a planet situated in a distant location, was found within the Vagar Praxut system. This planet existed within the Kharmort's Miasma nebula, which itself was situated in the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. Vagar Praxut served as the original homeworld for the sentient Vagaari species.

Around 30,000 BBY, according to the galactic year system, the Rakata of the Infinite Empire conquered the Vagaari, turning them into enslaved people and also changed the planet's environment. The Vagaari began to live as nomads in space, and by four decades before the Battle of Yavin, Vagar Praxut was nearly empty of people.

Behind the scenes

The homeworld of the Vagaari was initially mentioned in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, which came out in 2008. Later, in 2010, the sourcebook The Unknown Regions, created by Wizards of the Coast for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, gave it the name Vagar Praxut. The reference book The Essential Atlas, published in 2009, placed the Vagar Praxut system, and therefore the planet's location, in grid square H-9.
