The Vergesso Base is situated on Vergesso Prime.
Vergesso Prime, also called the Vergesso Asteroid or just Vergesso, served as the primary asteroid within the Vergesso Asteroids cluster. Due to significant pirate presence, it was guarded by TIE/LN starfighter squadrons. The Rebel Alliance contracted Han Solo to emplace an EMP device within a shipment bound from Vergesso to Corulag, with the goal of neutralizing the Fleet stationed there. This action aimed to gather intelligence about the Imperial Superweapon, and to initiate a sequence of events leading to the extraction of Admiral Gial Ackbar. Furthermore, it housed the Vergesso Base, a collaborative Ororo Transportation/Rebel Alliance Asteroid Hangar that was destroyed by the Imperial Star Dreadnought known as the Executor, along with its accompanying Imperial starships.
