The Vorzyd Cluster existed within the Outer Rim Territories. This cluster encompassed eleven distinct systems, including the Vorzyd system, as well as Hraki, Paigu, Kilmaulsias, and Seftek.
During the Draggulch Period, the Galactic Republic discovered this cluster, whose worlds had united to form a confederacy called the Commonality. Subsequently, five centuries passed, and the Vorzyd Cluster garnered the attention of Commenorian investors. These investors established a presence on Columex, a nearby planet, and initiated trade with the cluster. Columex then became a part of the confederacy. Over subsequent generations, the aggressive traders from Columex managed to position their planet to dominate the Commonality entirely. Ultimately, both the Commonality and the Vorzyd Cluster were integrated into the Republic.
During the era of the Clone Wars, the Galactic Senate featured Senator Jheramahd Greyshade as the representative of the Commonality. Later, Simon Greyshade, his cousin, assumed the senatorial office.
Following the fall of the Republic, Senator Simon Greyshade announced a state of emergency within the Commonality. Subsequently, Greyshade reached an agreement with the Galactic Empire. In exchange for a portion of the Commonality's gambling revenues, the Empire granted control of the Wheel, a space station situated in the Mid Rim, to a Columexi enterprise under Greyshade's control. Simon Greyshade continued his service as senator until the dissolution of the Imperial Senate. Later, a Moff, specifically Diedrich Greyshade, governed the Commonality.
At a later time, the Commonality chose not to align with the New Republic, opting instead for independent status.
