Vorzydiak

The Vorzydiaks represented a Near-Human species native to both Vorzyd IV and Vorzyd V. Distinguished by their lanky stature, yellowish-green complexions, unusually large eyes, and a set of antennae, they were a unique people.

Society and culture

The Vorzydiak educational system mandated daily school attendance for children, with work responsibilities commencing at age ten, initially one day per week. Each subsequent year added another work day, culminating in full-time employment by the age of seventeen. Retirement was permitted at seventy, driven more by perceived ineffectiveness than any benevolent consideration. Consequently, many Vorzydiaks succumbed to death due to a perceived absence of meaning after retirement.

In terms of individual behavior, Vorzydiaks displayed a demeanor characterized by quietness and restraint. Their seriousness was profound, leading to disapproval of frivolous activities like amusement and recreation. Solitude was generally favored, and their culture exhibited minimal inclination towards engagement with other civilizations.

However, this dynamic underwent a transformation with the emergence of the Freelies, a youth movement dedicated to acts of disruption aimed at instigating societal reform.
