Small lizards known as Vuoles, roughly equivalent to the size of a human hand, inhabited the entirety of the Rafa system, flourishing in every type of environment. They featured a pair of small projections beneath their mouths, along with a single projection on each side of their eyes; these ocular projections converged above the head, forming a crest about an inch in height.
Characterized as "curious" creatures, vuoles represented a fundamental food source for the Toka people (it remains uncertain if they remained a dietary staple following the Toka's transformation into the Sharu). Typically, they were cooked by being spit-roasted over an open flame, after which they were removed from the spit and consumed directly by hand. Lando Calrissian almost vomited when he witnessed his Toka partner, Mohs, eating one in this manner.
