The Separatist Droid Army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems employed the W-series droideka, a type of droideka battle droid. Following the P-series droideka utilized by the Trade Federation in the Invasion of Naboo, the W-series droideka was developed. Its debut battle was the First Battle of Geonosis, marking the commencement of the Clone Wars. The W-series droideka was eventually phased out, replaced by the later-model Q-series droideka.
