Wander-kelp

Wander-kelp, originating from the planet Chad, possessed characteristics of both flora and fauna. These organisms, cultivated in aquatic farms across the globe, exhibited a rudimentary level of sentience and the capacity for self-propelled locomotion. Their leaves, rich in iodine, underwent multiple annual harvests, with the extracted iodine serving medicinal purposes. The residual plant matter was then converted into protein-rich animal fodder. A bioluminescent glow, stemming from internal phosphorescence, marked the wander-kelp's reproductive period. The coloration of wander-kelp bore a resemblance to the complexion of Yoda.
