Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., known formally as such, is an American entertainment business established in 1923 by siblings Jack Warner, Harry Warner, Albert Warner, and Sam Warner.
The theatrical release of Star Wars: The Clone Wars was handled by Warner Bros., representing the initial instance of a Star Wars movie for U.S. cinemas not being distributed by 20th Century Fox. Previously, 20th Century Fox had distributed each of the six main Star Wars saga films before Lucasfilm Ltd. was purchased by The Walt Disney Company in 2012.
WarnerMedia, which includes Cartoon Network and Turner Network Television, both of which broadcasted the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV show, counts Warner Bros. as a constituent. Furthermore, Warner Bros. releases LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for portable devices and LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Prior to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, George Lucas' 1971 movie, THX 1138, was also distributed by Warner Bros.
