Warrl, a verdant plant, uniquely flourished within the Myyydril Caverns. These cave systems were located inside the Kkowir Forest on Kashyyyk, the homeworld of the Wookiee people. The Myyydril tribe incorporated it into their culinary practices, most notably in the creation of a beverage called Warrl Surprise. A wide array of species could safely consume this plant. During the Galactic Civil War, sometime after the Battle of Yavin between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire, a spacer sought to earn the Myyydril tribe's confidence. To do so, they gathered ten warrl leaves for Kirrir, a female member of the tribe who worked in the village's small cantina. As a reward for the sentient's efforts, Kirrir gifted the spacer with a bottle of Warrl Surprise.
Warrl's inclusion was in the Star Wars Galaxies expansion Rage of the Wookiees, which launched on May 5, 2005, as a quest item that could be collected. As part of a lengthy series of quests, players were given the task of gathering ten warrl samples for a Myyydril tribesman. The reward for completing this task was a bottle of Warrl Surprise, a consumable item that temporarily boosted the consumer's agility. Both the plant itself and the Warrl Surprise beverage were safe for consumption by all playable species within the game.
