Weapon guard

Guards are commonly items or mechanisms that are attached to a weapon to offer protection to the user's hand from potential harm. These guards can occasionally be seen on swords or similar bladed armaments. Certain lightsabers, for instance Ezra Bridger's lightsaber and double-bladed spinning lightsabers, incorporate handguards that take the form of circular or square shapes.
