Located within the Wen'he'dinae system, which itself was situated in the Eidoloni sector of the Western Reaches within the Mid Rim, was the terrestrial planet known as Wen'he'dinae. This world experienced a variety of seasons and served as the homeworld for diverse carnivorous lifeforms.
On Wen'he'dinae, the Cha'wen'he species, a sentient race of bird-like herbivores, developed. The planet's many predators caused the species to become anxious, easily stimulated, and inclined to abrupt, rapid movements. The Cha'wen'he possessed physiological adaptations that allowed them to thrive in both hot and cold environments, and those who lived on their native planet migrated based on the changing seasons.
Lisa Smedman conceived Wen'he'dinae, and it was first presented in Galaxy Guide 12: Aliens — Enemies and Allies, a 1995 manual intended for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The 2009 source The Essential Atlas specified that the Wen'he'dinae system, and thus Wen'he'dinae, was located in grid L-16.
