Jiklip entered the world on Coruscant around the same time as Han Solo, born to Corellian parents. Upon reaching her early twenties, Jiklip qualified for a position as a university lecturer. Nevertheless, she vanished from sight, and in the subsequent two decades, she adopted the identity of Red Stepla, a smuggler distinguished by her remarkable ability to execute all her assignments with unparalleled effectiveness. Shortly before the Yuuzhan Vong War commenced, Stepla and her team decided to retire, and soon after, Wildis Jiklip resurfaced in the public sphere. She took on the role of a professor, teaching subjects like interplanetary economics and related disciplines at universities situated on Coruscant and Lorrd.
Having faith in Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, Jiklip shared the clandestine details of her smuggling career with them. As the Second Galactic Civil War began, Han sought her insights regarding the impending conflict, but he found himself unable to reach her.
