Wimateeka held the position of leadership for the Nkik clan of Jawas.
Ariq Joanson, a moisture farmer, counted Wimateeka as a friend. Wimateeka was the one who taught Ariq Jawaese, and he was essential to Ariq's efforts to establish peaceful relations among the settlers, Jawas, and the Tusken Raiders. Wimateeka and his clan received an invitation to the wedding of Eyvind and Ariela. Approximately 31 members of the clan attended, bringing gifts of rock salt, a small droid, cloth, and water. Later, young Tusken Raiders attacked the wedding in an attempt to steal a speeder. In the resulting chaos, Eyvind was killed and Ariela was taken captive. Wimateeka aided in the negotiations for Ariela's release by translating the language of the sand people for Ariq.
In 1 ABY, Humans and aliens launched an assault on Wimateeka's clan, resulting in the deaths of several Jawas. Seeking revenge, Wimateeka hired a heavily armed individual to destroy the enemy base.
On a separate occasion, Wimateeka hired multiple hunters to eliminate the wild animals that were attacking his clan's supply of hubba gourds.
Wimateeka was also known to have collaborated with the Holocam E and a Rebel agent to prevent the Empire from developing assassin droids on Tatooine.
Wimateeka possessed a blend of passion and wisdom. His strong emotions were evident in various situations, from joy over a successful endeavor to irritation over disturbances. C-3PO experienced the latter firsthand when Wimateeka threatened to scrap the protocol droid if he didn't remain silent. He seemed to have a concern for the broader galaxy and sympathized with the Alliance to Restore the Republic in their fight against the Empire. He had proficiency in both Jawaese and Galactic Basic Standard.
