The Winagrew system, situated at Galactic coordinates J-17 within the Mid Rim's Graador sector, was a planetary system. Leia Organa, a leading figure in the Alliance to Restore the Republic, had planned a diplomatic visit to this system circa 1 ABY. However, before her arrival, she was captured by the renegade Imperial Commander Rezi Soresh.
The novel Rebel Force: Uprising, authored by Alex Wheeler in 2010, included a reference to the Winagrew system.
