Wister Tolann

Wister Tolann, a Human of the male persuasion, held the position of Commander in the Galactic Empire, reporting to Grand Admiral Thrawn. Thrawn held a negative view of him, writing performance reviews that effectively prevented Tolann from achieving a higher rank than Commander. Consequently, during the time that Sate Pestage and Ysanne Isard were in control of the Empire, Tolann was relegated to the duty of managing waste-management convoys for them for the final years of his military service. The actions taken by Thrawn led Tolann's grandson, Kester Tolann, to develop a deep-seated animosity toward Thrawn's species, the Chiss, and any other nonhuman species who, in Wister's eyes, had the audacity to challenge Humans.
