A wrist laser represents a small-sized laser weapon, designed to deliver considerable damage when used in very close combat situations. These lasers were built into gauntlets that could be recharged using solar energy. The wearer could intentionally cause the gauntlet's internal chamber to become overloaded, leading to a minor explosive event.
The typical purchase price for wrist lasers was 2,000 credits, with an additional 100 credits required for a power pack.
Different versions of this weapon existed, such as the LG-5 laser gauntlet produced by Prax Arms, and the related wrist-mounted wrist blaster.
