Writing
Writing, or a system of writing, represented a technique for depicting ideas, thoughts, or the spoken sounds of a given language. This method of encoding language could be inscribed on paper or flimsiplast, or visually presented on a datapad or even a viewscreen. Across the galaxy, numerous different writing systems were in use; it's possible that each language had at least one unique written form.
The most prevalent and official system for Galactic Basic was Aurebesh. Despite being a Basic-speaking world, Naboo also employed two distinct systems: Futhark, used for official markings, like those found on a starship's exterior, and Futhork, which was used for less formal written communication.
The Written Word: A Brief Introduction to the Writing Systems of Galactic Basic was an article released in 38 ABY that explored the development of languages, writing methods, and typography across the galaxy over thousands of years.
