Wyrwulves, frequently confused by those unfamiliar with them for mere domestic or service animals, were actually six-legged canine creatures, and the offspring of the Codru-Ji species.
Upon reaching maturity, a Wyrwulf would enter a pupal stage, forming a cocoon, and after a period of several weeks, a mature Codru-Ji would emerge.
Despite their often intimidating appearance, Wyrwulves posed no threat to individuals with benevolent motives. Conversely, they were fiercely devoted to protecting their caretaker (or those under their charge if their parents were absent). The bond between a Wyrwulf and its caretaker was exceptionally deep, perhaps akin to the connection between a dog and a Human.
