XX-8
The XX-8 represented a turbolaser battery design produced by the Taim & Bak corporation.
Description
The XX-9 heavy turbolaser was preceded by the XX-8. While sharing design elements with its follow-up, this initial iteration incorporated a higher superstructure that contained the turbolaser's primary turbine system as well as the positions for the operating crew. The XX-9, in contrast, housed its turbine and crew areas inside the ship or installation, rather than within the weapon's structure.
