During the period that Dominic Raynor was the Baron Administrator governing Cloud City, Ymile was a regular presence in the getaway's bars and casinos. Despite this, Ymile felt discontented residing in Cloud City, yearning to explore the galaxy, but Raynor's responsibilities as Administrator kept her confined.
Fortunately for Ymile, a skilled card player named Lando Calrissian started to frequent Cloud City. In collaboration with Lobot, who desired Raynor's removal from his corrupt position, Ymile conceived a scheme to make Dominic lose ownership of Cloud City so that they could travel the galaxy. During a high-stakes sabacc match against Barpotomous Drebble, another Cloud City casino regular, Ymile utilized a skifter hidden within a pendant she wore to ensure Calrissian's victory. As Ymile departed the casino, a thief named Zlato snatched her pendant and attempted to escape, but Calrissian ensnared the robber with his cape. After a brief exchange, Lando returned the pendant to Ymile, calling her his "Lady Luck."
Raynor became intrigued by Calrissian's remarkable fortune and challenged him to a game. However, his luck failed him, as Drebble, seeking vengeance, employed another skifter within the dealer's deck to secure Raynor's win. As Lando was about to leave, an anonymous donation of five million credits appeared in his possession. Ymile rejoiced at this turn of events and used her skifter again to help Calrissian easily win and take control of Cloud City. Ymile expressed her gratitude to the gambler for his generosity and departed the city with Raynor.
