The Zeer represented a species of creatures resembling giraffes, but they were non-sentient.
These creatures, known as Zeer, moved together in herds, consuming foliage from the highest reaches of towering trees. They served as inhabitants of Ohma-D'un, and during the time of the New Republic, they were showcased for commerce on Coruscant. Generally, Zeer were peaceful beings found across much of the northern temperate and subtropical regions of Naboo. Their heads featured a pair of rotating horns, bearing a resemblance to those of a dwarf bantha.
Prior to the time of the Rebellion, unlawful hunters trespassed upon Naboo. These individuals decimated the Zeer population through extensive killing. Nevertheless, as the Galactic Civil War unfolded, their numbers gradually recovered.
